How it works
From first gig to finished year
Seven steps from a new band to a finished year. You only do the first three once.
-
Make your account and your band
Sign in with Apple, Google or email, name the band, and set a leader PIN. The band lives on your phone from the start; nothing is uploaded.
-
Add the roster
Type members in or pick them from your contacts, with instrument and whether they get a 1099. Set your band's defaults once: tax or no tax, a band fund or none, mileage or not.
-
Book the gig
Date, venue, client, address, start and end, load-in and soundcheck. Send it to your phone's calendar if you want it there too.
-
Cut the gig
Enter what the gig paid, cash, check and tips. StageCut takes out mileage and costs first, puts the band fund's share aside, divides what's left and holds back tax from each player's share. Flat pay, members taking no pay and one-person expenses are all handled here.
-
Pay people and tick them off
Mark each member paid as the money goes out. Their amount locks, and Totals keeps track of who's still owed.
-
Connect the band, if you want to
Turn on Band Sync and invite members with a code. From then on, every gig you enter shows up on the phone of everyone on it, with their own Total Paid. One subscription covers every band you lead, sized by the seats you fill; members never pay. Your band is then reachable from any platform you sign in on: any browser, Android, and iPhone once it arrives.
-
Close out the year
Open the Year-End report whenever your accountant asks: every member's paid, owed, withheld and net total, plus band expenses and mileage, as a PDF.

The cut, in your browser
The free calculator goes in the same order: costs, band fund, an even share each, tax held back. Flip between the leader's slip and the one number a member sees.
